Time For Change



Hey there friends,
It has been such a long time since I have last wrote. A lot has changed since then. Many great things have come to pass along with some heartache. The heartache I could have done without, but we all have to take the bad along with the good. 

I really feel that the reason that I have been M.I.A lately is because I have been so unhappy with myself. I let myself go, physically. I was at my heaviest and I wasn't healthy. Now, don't get me wrong, I am all about self love. I believe that one should love themselves no matter what size they are, but that was the problem I didn't love myself. I was always tired, irritable, and just over all depressed. I mean, sure I had my pretty days, but I also had many ugly days and I just didn't feel like myself. I'm normally the happy go-luck type, but I hadn't seen that girl in a long time.

Also, I don't want to end up with Type 1 diabetes like my twinnie or Type 2 like my father. I have seen their struggles and I have been lucky so far. I am so thankful that I haven't had any issues with my blood sugar.

So, I decided that it was time for a change. It was time for me to get healthy and fit. I still want to keep my curvy hips, but I want to be healthy. I want to fall in love with myself again. And as of August 1st I have started my journey to get healthy. 

I have started exercising daily (I do about 45 minutes to an hour of Zumba daily) and I have been counting calories. It has been a struggle, but so far so good. I have lost 5lbs and I cannot wait to lose more. 

I really never catagorized my blog and I don't intend to now, but there will be a lot more getting fit updates, recipes, and exercise routines. Also, if any of you have any awesome recipes, exercise routines or anything, please feel free to share. I love to hear from you!
