Time For Change

Hey there friends, It has been such a long time since I have last wrote. A lot has changed since then. Many great things have come to pass along with some heartache. The heartache I could have done without, but we all have to take the bad along with the good. 
I really feel that the reason that I have been M.I.A lately is because I have been so unhappy with myself. I let myself go, physically. I was at my heaviest and I wasn't healthy. Now, don't get me wrong, I am all about self love. I believe that one should love themselves no matter what size they are, but that was the problem I didn't love myself. I was always tired, irritable, and just over all depressed. I mean, sure I had my pretty days, but I also had many ugly days and I just didn't feel like myself. I'm normally the happy go-luck type, but I hadn't seen that girl in a long time.
Also, I don't want to end up with Type 1 diabetes like my twinnie or Type 2 like my father. I have seen their struggles and I have been lucky so far. I am so thankful that I haven't had any issues with my blood sugar.
So, I decided that it was time for a change. It was time for me to get healthy and fit. I still want to keep my curvy hips, but I want to be healthy. I want to fall in love with myself again. And as of August 1st I have started my journey to get healthy. 
I have started exercising daily (I do about 45 minutes to an hour of Zumba daily) and I have been counting calories. It has been a struggle, but so far so good. I have lost 5lbs and I cannot wait to lose more. 
I really never catagorized my blog and I don't intend to now, but there will be a lot more getting fit updates, recipes, and exercise routines. Also, if any of you have any awesome recipes, exercise routines or anything, please feel free to share. I love to hear from you!

Mani Monday

Good Morning lovelies! I hope this Monday morning finds you all healthy and happy. I tried to hide under my covers from it, but didn't succeed. haha. So on with my day... Today is Mani Monday! Woot. I've so missed mani monday! I love looking at all the beautiful manicures that people link up! It's so much fun! However, lately I haven't done a manicure because I am trying to get my nails healthy again. Does anyone else suffer from weak nails that peel? Its so annoying. Nothing makes me madder than having a fresh manicure and it getting messed up by my nails peeling or breaking. If anyone has a miracle cure for week peeling nails please share because I hate when my nails are naked! So my manicures are on a hiatus right now to hopefully heal them up a bit, but I want to share you a few of my favorite manis that I have done in the past.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Long time no blog

Boy, has it been forever since I was last on here. I can't believe I let so much time pass before I stepped back into the bloggy world. I definitely missed it and all of you! The last time that I wrote i talked about changes. There have been so many more changes since that last post that I have to share so I can start anew! 
We finally got our own place and I absolutely love it! Its not huge and fancy, but small and clean. A perfect size for the four of us and it is right across the street from my sister-in-law! We also got new furniture, which I am ecstatic about because I have never had new furniture! Its an awesome feeling to have something new and your own!
When the new year hit I decided that I needed a fresh start so I gave myself a little make over and let me tell you it was not an easy task. I make such a huge mess when I do my own hair, but it was so worth it because I absolutely love my purple locks! It definitely turned out fantastic and i might just keep it purple until the day I die! That's right, I might be that crazy grandma with a purple hair do! haha.
Also, another big change is that Emery is now ONE! Ahhh! I cannot believe that my little man is one. And did I mention that he is walking already?! Such an impatient little booger. Its so fun to see him chase his sister around. haha. Its such a bittersweet moment when your babies hit those milestones. It still feels like yesterday when I was brought Evangelina home from the hospital and that was almost 5 years ago. 
Speaking of Evangelina, boy-oh-boy, is she a little drama queen diva. I can't get over it! There are times that we just butt heads like no other, but then there are times that she just cuddles up really close and says, "Momma, I love you." Aww. haha. Oh and let me tell you, this girl loves her music. She has-as she says it, "my boy bands and my justin bieber."  And whenever she hears one of their songs on the radio she has to have it turned up so she can dance around to it. And boy she can move. Just last night she was working up a sweat with all her dancing. haha It is so much fun to watch her dance and when Emery starts in, there's no holding back the laughter! Its such a good time.
